Tattoo Aftercare

Q. Who are some of the respected tattooists that use H2Ocean tattoo aftercare?

A. Many reputable artists use and recommend our tattoo aftercare products. To see a list please click on the H2Ocean Pro Team Link:

Q. Why is H2Ocean better than the usual Vitamin A&D ointment?

A. All H2Ocean products are water based formulas. They will allow a person’s skin to breathe. Products containing wax, oil or petroleum will suffocate the skin. By cutting off the air supply you end up damaging skin cells which then will not allow the ink to be retained properly. Also using A&D will prolong the plasma cycle or “oozing” process of a new tattoo. When this process is lengthened there is a greater chance for scabbing and ink loss. By recommending H2Ocean to your customers you are reducing their chances of something going wrong after they leave your studio. Finally, H2Ocean gives back to the tattoo community every day by sponsorships and donations to tattoo related charities and events.

Q. How many times a day should H2Ocean tattoo aftercare be applied?

A. We recommend between 3-6 times per day depending on your skin type. If you have dry skin then you may have to apply more often. When applying the aftercare product apply a small amount and gently rub until it is completely absorbed.

Q. Should I use H2Ocean with other brands of aftercare products?

A. No, H2Ocean aftercare products are designed to work alone or in conjunction with other H2Ocean products. The enzymes used in our products are sensitive and if mixed with oil, wax or petroleum then they will not protect as designed.

Q. Will H2Ocean Tattoo Aftercare products clog my skin pores?

A. No, H2Ocean tattoo aftercare products are water based. They do not contain petroleum or waxes. H2Ocean will not stick to your clothes or bed sheets either.

Body Piercing Aftercare

Q. What else can I use H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray on?

A. Cuts and scrapes – mouth infections – canker sores – pink eye – insect bites – sores throats – burns – any skin irritations- acne and blisters – fungi – razor burn or bumps – psoriasis – shingles

Q. Is H2ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray safe to use on oral piercings?

A. Yes, but we recommend using either flavor (wintergreen or lemon) of our mouthwash. The H2Ocean mouthwash is Alcohol and Fluoride Free. Xylitol is also added to the mouthwash to keep strep and plaque from bonding to your teeth and gums.

Q. Can you use antibacterial soap with H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray?

A. We cannot recommend any soap to use on piercings since they were not developed as an aftercare for wounds or piercings. By using H2Ocean the enzyme Lysozyme is absorbed into your wound and skin pores adding the exact elements your body needs for natural healing.

Q. What if my piercing is infected or starting to keloid can H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray help?

A. Yes, you should use H2Ocean from the start to avoid these problems but it may turn it around if used continually as directed. Keloids may be removed by soaking the H2Ocean on a clean paper towel or gauze pad placed on the piercing for a few minutes 2 times a day and continue spraying 3 to 5 times daily.

Q. Is soaking the piercing necessary with the H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray?

A. No, but if you would like to soak your piercing then use H2Ocean and saturate sterile gauze with H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray and place over piercing for 5 to 10 minutes. Repeat twice a day in conjunction with following the normal directions for use of H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray.

Q. How often should I use H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray?

A. We recommend spraying a mist of the solution on the piercing every 3 to 4 hours, as the enzymes (Lysozyme) will remain active against bad bacteria for 4 to 5 hours. This may help keep infections from occurring. The salinity level of this product is isotonic to the cellular fluid matrix in humans therefore no burning will occur on the piercing. You cannot overuse H2Ocean.

Q. Is H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray the same as saline solution?

A. No, saline solutions contain Sodium Chloride (.09%) and purified water. Sodium Chloride is refined salt (man made) which contains hydrogen, chlorine and sodium hydroxide. Man made salt is stripped off all trace elements and minerals that are essential for new cell development. Saline solution also does not contain an enzyme like H2Ocean. Saline solutions on the market also have a wide range of pH levels which may hinder healing. H2Ocean’s pH level is between 7.2 and 7.5. Natural healing is better than chemical healing.
